History
Pharmaceutical Centre SA, trading under the name of Vitafarm, was the result of the merger of European Medicines SA and Parapharmaceutical Centre SA in 2001.
The purpose of the company is to market pharmaceutical, parapharmaceutical and similar products to pharmacies in Thessaloniki and to a nationwide network in Greece.
It is currently housed in modern privately-owned facilities of 3,000 m2 in the Patriarchiko district of Pylaia, in Thessaloniki, at a key location near the ring road and a short distance from the city airport.
It is worth noting that in September 2009, Vitafarm installed an automatic order picking system manufactured by the Austrian company Knapp, with a capacity for up to 1,200 order lines per hour.
Vitafarm is certified to the ISO 9001:2008 (EQA Hellas) standard and scrupulously implements all of the procedures imposed by EU guidelines.
The company has seen rapid growth in recent years, and now serves increasingly more points of sale both in other areas of Thessaloniki and throughout Greece in general.
